Maybe (hopefully!) you’re really keen to empower your child to learn about money. But what you’re struggling with is the confidence that you can do it. Perhaps money has always had its confusing points for you. Or, if you’re worried its your maths holding you back, try the national numeracy site, BBC Skillswise, or Skills for Careers Multiply courses. But remember that you can understand all sorts of financial concepts without using maths - needs versus wants, saving versus spending, what loans, pensions and taxes are, and more; so if you're still working on your maths skills don't let that stop you from starting your child's financial education.
